Longest Six In IPL History: Top 5 Hits

The Universe Boss Chris Gayle took the Indian Premier League by a storm when he slammed a sensational knock of unbeaten 175 against Pune Warriors India in the 2013 edition. He created this history playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore where he sparred no bowler other than Swing King Bhuvaneshwar Kumar who somehow managed to be an economical bowler from PWI.

The Universe Boss’ quickfire knock included 13 fours and 17 sixes as he made opponents feel like they are in hell. It was one of the splendid performances where he would have even scored a double hundred if Mr. 360 Ab De Villiers didn’t have played those 8 balls in which he scored quickfire 31.

Gayle in an interview with Espncricinfo told the story behind the memorable Innings he said “I remember after facing the first couple of overs, rain interrupted the game. I went inside and Ravi Rampaul was there in the team at that time as well. And I said to Rampaul, ‘That wicket outside is a real belter. We need to get at least 170-180 to actually give ourselves a chance at winning the game.’ Because the wicket was so good,”

Well, He really did what he wanted, Gayle is probably one of the best batsmen in T-20 history, However this year he didn’t perform upto the mark but still his name is enough to scare the opposition.
