Punjab Kings suffered their first blow in the form of KL Rahul as he got dismissed after playing a slow knock. The opener though looked promising in the beginning as he hit 2 fours and 1 six but struggled to convert it into a good inning. Rahul sought to make a steady start which was pretty evident from his intent and then gradually increases the fire progress as the overs increased. But his innings was cut short by pacer Pat Cummins whom he looked to hit for a six but was caught by Sunil Narine.

Rahul played composed match-winning innings against Mumbai Indians in the last match and he looked to do the same but couldn’t keep it much longer.
