The Rishabh Pant led Delhi Capitals to go against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first encounter of the IPL remainder today. The match will be played live from Dubai International Stadium. Unfortunately, the Indian Premier League was also postponed in May due to the COVID-19 scare in the camp. Just before the game, at a scheduled test, T Natarajan of the Sunrisers Hyderabad tests positive for COVID-19.
According to a BCCI release, the fast bowler, who is asymptomatic and six close contacts including Vijay Shankar, Vijay Kumar (Team Manager), Shyam Sundar J (Physiotherapist), Anjana Vannan (Doctor), Tushar Khedkar (Logistics Manager), and Periyasamy Ganesan (Net Bowler) have been placed in isolation. Firstly, T Natarajan will be looked after by the team’s medical staff. Secondly, the remaining squad members have tested negative. As a result, the game will go on as scheduled against the Delhi Capitals.
Both teams are looking at bouncing back stronger in the remainder. So far the Delhi Capitals have done so well in phase one. They will look to keep a similar momentum in the game. Sunrisers Hyderabad was seen practicing hard in the net sessions. This is their chance for a fresh start with the second phase. Hoping that T Natarajan gets well super soon.
