Kiren Rijiju open up over the Tokyo Olympics 2021

The Tokyo Olympics were postponed for a year because of the pandemic Covid 19, which caused a lot of uncertainty. The Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju, however confident over the Tokyo Olympics happening in 2021. He said that the Olympics will go as planned.

While talking to ANI, Kiren said don’t believe in rumors. The things will on the floor as planned.

“Don’t go with rumors, Olympics is finalized, how we will do it, process and protocols are to be decided, otherwise the date and everything is finalized,” he said.

The Tokyo Olympics is scheduled to start on 23rd July and will end on 8th August 2021. Rijiju also talked about Tokyo Olympic athletes being the priority at this point for vaccination against Covid-19. Tokyo-bond athletes are the priority, as Rijiju doesn’t want any athlete to miss their golden chance.

When asked Rijiju about the Board Of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) asking for the vaccination to the cricket players, he replied that this depends on the Ministry of Health. He also said that all the players are important but Olympians are needed to give vaccines earlier because of Tokyo Olympics 2021.
