WWE, an American promotion, produces the professional wrestling event known as WWE Championship of Crown Jewel. Only pay-per-view (PPV) and the live streaming services Peacock and the WWE Network can access the live show. The event started in 2018 and has been held every year after that except 2020, owing to the COVID-19 epidemic.

It happens toward the end of October or the beginning of November. As part of a 10-year agreement in favor of Saudi Vision 2030, it is WWE’s flagship recurrent event held in Saudi Arabia; the first Crown Jewel was the second event in this alliance. The event’s name alludes to the fact that it will occur in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.

Early in 2018, the American professional wrestling organization WWE and the General Sports Authority launched a 10-year strategic multiplatform cooperation supporting Saudi Vision 2030, the country’s social and economic reform initiative. The Greatest Royal Rumble, the first pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network event under this collaboration, took place at Jeddah’s King Abdullah International Stadium on April 27, 2018.

Crown Jewel, a follow-up event, was held on November 2 at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital; The centrepiece of the show was the first (and only) “WWE World Cup” tournament and a tag team battle between The Brothers of Destruction and D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) (Kane and The Undertaker)

Crown Jewel, therefore, became a regular event for the Saudi Arabian cooperation and specifically a recurring event in Riyadh the following year on October 31, 2019, at the King Fahd International Stadium, again in Riyadh.

A Crown Jewel was not staged in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic-related laws; nevertheless, the event returned in 2021 and was held on October 21 at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh. Following the merger of the American edition of the WWE Network under Peacock in March of that year, the 2021 event was also the first Crown Jewel to air on Peacock’s WWE Network channel.

WWE declared that the 2022 Crown Jewel would be placed on Saturday, November 5, on May 23, 2022. The event was held in Mrsool Park, making it the second Crown Jewel to take place there following the first event in 2018. The event occurred in 2018 when the stadium was still known as King Saud University Stadium; its name was changed to Mrsool Park in 2020.

Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar: Before the bout, Lashley attacked Lesnar ringside because he wouldn’t allow him to settle in. After being pushed into the steel ring steps, Lesnar was seen to be limping visibly.

Once the bout began, Lashley pounded his opponent with numerous spears inside and outside the ring, including one through the ringside barricade. After fighting off a pinfall, Lesnar changed the momentum by planting Lashley with repeated German suplexes and hitting an F-5 for a close call.

Lashley barely connected his hands to execute his signature complete nelson submission maneuver, the Hurt Lock. On the verge of passing out, Lesnar gathered the energy to kick off the ring corner and send them flying to the mat.

Lashley clung to the Hurt Lock, which proved to be his downfall. The referee counted to three when Lesnar was on top of Lashley, and his shoulders were on the mat. You had a winner in Lesnar. After the match, a furious Lashley grabbed Lesnar in the Hurt Lock and didn’t let go until he was unconscious.
