MS Dhoni twitter account loses blue tick and becomes unverified for a brief moment
Twitter the microblogging platform has reinstated the verified tick batch on the account of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after briefly removing it on Friday. It is seen that Twitter has removed the blue tick badge from Dhoni’s account as it has been inactive since February this year.
It was on January 8, 2021, when MS Dhoni last posted the tweet from his Twitter account. Twitter requires users to login into the account within six months to retain their verified batch.
It is noted that the legendary captain and wicketkeeper-batsman have 8.2 million followers on Twitter today. The blue tick handle signifies to the other users whether the account is verified and authentic. To have a blue tick badge on their account, the user should not only be active on the platform but also have to be a part of a prominent organization or brand. They should also have a follower count in the top 0.5 percent of active users of that social media in their geographical location.
It was on August 15, 2020, the legendary Indian cricketer has retired from international cricket. He now plays for the CSK franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The legendary cricketer will be expected to be back in action as soon as IPL 2021 which was postponed halfway due to pandemic will resume in September UAE.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the remainder of the IPL. A total of 31 matches will be played in 27 days.
The second half of the tournament starting with a bang where two successful franchises in IPL will face each other on September 19 are the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians. The final match in the league stage is between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals will be on October 8.
The Qualifier1 of this IPL 2021 will be played on October 10 in Dubai. The Eliminator and Qualifier2 will be played on October 11 and October 13 respectively in Sharjah. The finals of the IPL 2021 will be played in Dubai on October 15 this year.
