Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, arguably the world’s most potent spin duo at the moment, were named joint-men of the series after India defeated Australia 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After accepting the award, Ashwin and Jadeja recreated an epic comedy scene from an Akshay Kumar film in the Indian dressing room following the Ahmedabad Test. The video was posted by Ashwin on his official Instagram account, where it quickly went viral and won over fans all over the world.
The success of India in the series was greatly aided by both Ashwin and Jadeja. Jadeja finished second on the list of wicket-takers behind Ashwin, who finished first with 25 wickets in 4 games.
Jadeja finished just a few runs ahead of Ashwin in terms of total runs scored, scoring 135 as opposed to 86 for Ashwin.

Jadeja and Ashwin were questioned about their contributions to each other’s success at the post-match presentation ceremony.
