Former Australian cricket team skipper Ricky Ponting made a prediction ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will be starting on October this year. All the teams have already started preparations for it. Former skipper Ricky Ponting feels India and Australia has the huge chances of winning and are the only teams that will be in the finals of this T20 World Cup 2022.
Australian team was the champion of the previous edition. Australian team played well in the previous World Cup and deservingly had the trophy. Ricky Ponting not only predicted the finalists of T20 World Cup but also the winner of the ICC tournament.
“I think India and Australia will be the two playing in the final and I will just have to say that Australia will beat them in the final. I just think the three teams on paper that look to have most class and the most match-winners are India, Australia and England,” said Ricky Ponting on upcoming T20 World Cup via ICC Review.
Former Australian feels Australia will be the winner again this year. He thinks he is the former player of the team so he has to feel that way.
