“Sachin, Sachin”: Twitter reacts as Master Blaster makes magic return

Indian legend is leading his side in the Road Safety World Series

Sachin Tendulkar can turn back the clock in no time! The batting maestro stepped into the field for the Road Safety World Series as the captain of the India Legends side on Saturday. The 49-year-old legend looked fit and chilled as he led the side to a 61-run win in the opening match.

Meanwhile, Sachin also delighted the crowd with his breezy knock, while opening the innings for the Legends. The Indian cricket legend scored 16 before being dismissed in the sixth over of the match. However, with more matches to play, the Master Blaster can reaffirm that he is in fine touch, and it is only a matter of time before a big score. He excelled in his game ethics and determination. Meanwhile, the master blaster was seen enjoying the game without stress.

It is 2022! But Sachin Tendulkar has not changed!

Watching the legendary hero bat proved to be a special sight for all cricket fans. Several of them posted screenshots and vivid memories of the legend on Twitter. It is also noteworthy that the cricketing genius did not change a bit, even now, after all these years.

One of the ‘complete’ batters, Sachin retired from international cricket in 2013, after serving with the bat for 24 years. The 49-year-old Indian legend remains the only batter to score 100 international centuries. Tendulkar is also regarded as the best batter in the modern era, after Don Bradman.

Meanwhile, batting first, India Legends posted a commanding 217/4 in 20 overs, thanks to all-rounder Stuart Binny’s unbeaten 82 off 24 balls. In reply, South Africa finished 156/9 in 20 overs. However, Rahul Sharma shined with the ball by bagging three wickets for India Legends, ensuring their win.

It was indeed a memorable match. Many of Sachin’s best knocks made a revisit in the mind of many fans. In short, it was a special spectacle for a cricket lover. Even though Sachin Tendulkar only scored 16 runs, his magical presence on the field and inspiring captaincy ensure fans were happy.
