Australia skittles out Bangladesh for just 73 Runs, as Adam Zampa registered the best bowling figures at this World Cup – 5/19. The Aussies won by 8 Wickets, with this massive win are in 2nd in the Group 1 table.

The 34th Match of the 2021 T20 World Cup was an Australia vs Bangladesh encounter played on Thursday, 04th November 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium, United Arab Emirates.

1st Innings – Bangladesh puts 73 Runs on the board

A struggling start for Bangladesh, as Mitchell Starc strikes for the Aussie on the 3rd Ball itself, bowled out Liton Das. Then Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mohammad Naim also lost their wickets. Thus, after the powerplay, they were 33/4.

Just then, another batter is dismissed – Afif Hossain as Adam Zampa picked the wicket on his first ball of the match. Bangladesh was 33/5 (6.1 overs).

A further batting collapse for Bangladesh, as they lost 5 Wickets and were All-Out at 73 (15 overs). Adam Zampa picked four more wickets and finished his bowling spell at 5/19.

2nd Innings – Australia’s Target is 74 Runs

The Australian opening pair of David Warner & Aaron Finch was looking to finish this as soon as possible. As the run rate was around 11 in the beginning overs.

But then, Taskin Ahmed bowled out the set batter Captain Aaron Finch on 40 (off 20 balls). The Aussie were 58/1 (4.6 overs).

However, at the very last ball of the powerplay Shoriful Islam bowled out David Warner on 18 (off 14 balls), with that Australia was 67/2 in 5.6 overs.

In the end, Mitchell Marsh 16* (off 5 balls) hit the winning boundary. Thus, Australia finishes their innings at 78/2 (6.2 overs). With this big win, the Aussies are in 2nd position of Group 1 Points Table.

As a result, Australia won the match by 8 Wickets. Hence, the Player of the Match was awarded to Adam Zampa for his – 5/19.
