  • WWE 24/7 Championship

Established on 20 May 2019, the WWE 24/7 Championship was created and promoted by the American promotion WWE and was initially a tertiary championship open to all wrestlers regardless of their gender and WWE employment status. The WWE 24/7 Championship title was quite similar to the WWE Hardcore Championship, which had a similar 24/7 rule.

The WWE 24/7 Championship title was unveiled by Mick Foley on the May 20, 2019, episode of Monday Night Raw. The first edition of the WWE 24/7 Championship title was clinched by Titus O’Neil. Although the 24/7 Championship title witnessed enormous popularity among the fans, it shockingly came to an end in 2022. The final episode of the WWE 24/7 Championship title was aired on 7 November 2022 and was clinched by the Scottish professional wrestler Nicola Glencross, popularly referred to as “Nikki Cross”.

  • NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship

At the second spot in our list of the top four WWE Championship titles that have lost their popularity among the fans in the past few years, we have the iconic NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, which was introduced as a professional wrestling women’s tag team championship on 10 March 2021. The popular team of Dakota Kai and Raquel González clinched the inaugural edition of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Although the championship title was gradually gaining prominence among the fans, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) company made the shocking decision of unifying it into the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, officially retiring the title in the process. The final episode of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was clinched by the iconic team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

  • WWE European Championship

Next, at the third spot in our list of the top four WWE Championship titles that have completely lost their significance over the course of time, we have the WWE European Championship, which was established on 26 February 1997 as the “WWF European Championship”. Although the WWE European Championship witnessed a brief hiatus in April 1999 after the legendary former WWE wrestler Shane McMahon, it made a roaring comeback in June 1999.

Additionally, it was renamed in May 2002 when the WWF became the WWE before finally being unified with the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Despite its skyrocketing popularity among the WWE fans and star-studded lineup of wrestlers including Triple H, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, and Eddie Guerrero, the WWE European Championship came to an end on 22 July 2022.

  • WWE Light Heavyweight Championship

Finally, at the fourth spot in our list of the top four WWE Championship titles that have lost their popularity among the fans in the past few years, we have the WWE Light Heavyweight Championship that was introduced as a professional wrestling championship in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) promotion on 26 March 1981 for the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) in a partnership between the WWF and UWA.

The WWE Light Heavyweight Championship was finally retired on March 8, 2002, with X-Pac as the final champion.  The WWE Light Heavyweight Championship featured numerous prominent wrestlers, including Dean Malenko, Taka Michinoku, Essa Ríos and many others.
