Popularly referred to as “Sunny” in the world of WWE, American professional female wrestler, Tamara Lynn Sytch has been sentenced to more than seventeen years of imprisonment under manslaughter-related charges in November, 2023. According to reports, the WWE Hall of Famer, Tamara Lynn Sytch was driving her car under intoxication, lost her control on wheels and collided into another car, killing a 75-years old man, Julian LaFrancis Lasseter of Daytona Beach who was driving the car in Florida.

American professional wrestler, Ronnie Aaron Killings popularly referred to as “R-Truth” in the WWE arena, is second on our list of top five WWE wrestlers who went to prison. Recently, Ronnie Aaron Killings publicly admitted that he used to sell drugs on the streets of North Carolina to survive as a teenager and earn some extra money. In one of his recent interviews Ronnie Arron Killings revealed that he was jailed and sent to prison at least six times for selling drugs as a teenager. Regardless of his past, Ronnie Aaron Killings is currently one of the most beloved WWE superstars worldwide.

The South African retired professional wrestler, Raymond John Leppan popularly referred to as “Adam Rose” by his fans witnessed a major downfall in his wrestling career in May 2016 when he was arrested under the charges of assault and domestic violence. Additionally, the WWE superstar was also convicted for making attempts to tamper a witness of the whole incident. The instance tarnished his image and entirely ruined his career in WWE since the format has an extremely rigid zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence. Although a month later the charges pressed against Adam Rose were dropped off, the WWE superstar’s wrestling career still suffered a major blow.

Another extremely popular and prominent name in the WWE arena, Stone Cold Steve Austin was sent to prison after his wife, former wrestling manager Debra Marshall allegedly accused him of sexual assault and domestic violence in 2002. A few months later, the WWE superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin was given a year of probation, community service and fine. The couple later got divorced and somehow, his former wife Debra Marshall never appeared on WWE ever again after the whole incident. However, Steve Austin continued to be a reigning champion in the format even after his imprisonment.

Jeff Hardy
Although Jeff Hardy has witnessed a glorious wrestling career in WWE, he was convicted and imprisoned in a tragic turn of events in September 2009 under drug trafficking charges. Additionally, the authorities also red-handedly caught Jeff Hardy with banned anabolic steroids which resulted in a $100,000 fine, 30 months of probation and a total of ten days in prison. The downfall didn’t end here for the WWE superstar, Jeff Hardy as he was booked again in 2022 in Florida on felony DUI charges and served imprisonment for a period of 38 days.
