WWE RAW 2 June 2025 Highlights: Some Good Moments And Some Disappointments

Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE RAW debut stood out but stale Judgment Day drama and weak Becky feud made the show mixed ahead of Money in the Bank.

This week’s WWE RAW was the last big event before Money in the Bank, where some new wrestlers earned their place in the MITB match. Some known faces from the recent Worlds Collide event appeared. Big stars like Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Sami Zayn were not much in focus, but new elements kept the show going.

Now let’s talk about the things I liked most in this episode and the parts where WWE did not do well.

Impactful Debut: Stephanie Vaquer’s First Match

Stephanie Vaquer made her first full-time RAW appearance and won a spot in the Women’s MITB match. Her triple threat match was simple, but her win made sense. Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile were her opponents. Liv already has a title and Ivy Nile is still gaining experience.

Talented superstars from NXT like Ripley, Bliss, and Naomi are already in the mix, and Vaquer’s entry makes the MITB match more competitive.

What’s Happening in Judgment Day’s Story?

Roxanne Perez joined the Judgment Day group, but the small fights and betrayals inside the group are getting boring now. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeated the War Raiders to make their point, but the group’s inner issues are no longer interesting. Maybe Morgan and Dominik will turn face and go against the group, but the story doesn’t feel new.

Carlito’s release made the group weaker, so WWE should either reboot the whole story or end it.

Backstage Support for Released Superstars

After R-Truth got released from RAW, fans chanted his name and supported him on social media. WWE stars also showed respect—Rhea Ripley wore his t-shirt, Liv Morgan wrote Carlito’s name on her boots, and Dominik Mysterio gave a tribute to Carlito too.

These small actions show unity and respect in WWE’s backstage culture, even when harsh release decisions are made.

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria’s Rivalry Build-up is Weak

So far, Becky and Lyra’s rivalry only has promos and words, but no action or drama. It’s been two months and their story hasn’t moved forward. If this feud needs to be taken seriously, there must be some intense build-up so that fans can connect to it.

Raquel vs Kairi Match Was a Bit Different

Kairi Sane continued her winning streak by defeating Raquel Rodriguez. This match had no big announcement, but it made sense because Kairi had beaten Liv Morgan last week. The match helped the story move forward logically.

New Judgment Day Group Doesn’t Feel Exciting

The new version of Judgment Day with Balor, JD McDonagh, and Roxanne Perez doesn’t feel strong like before. After Carlito left, the group looks weak. WWE should either completely change this group’s story or end it.

This RAW episode gave the spotlight to some new stars and repeated some old stories that felt a bit boring. Stephanie Vaquer’s debut was promising, while Judgment Day’s storyline now feels old. The Becky-Lyra feud also needed a new twist, while the Raquel-Kairi match was logically strong.
