Xabi Alonso is at the wheel and Real Madrid fans are happy that the Spaniard is back home. Xabi had been a Real Madrid player as well from 2009 to 2014.
This homecoming will be special because he is now here to don the manager role
This homecoming will be special because he is now here to don the manager role and after his heroics at Bayer Leverkusen, this will be the first time that Real Madrid is hiring such a young manager.
Fabrizio confirmed that the contracts have been signed
Fabrizio confirmed that the contracts have been signed and the Spaniard will arrive in June. But a list of players has already arrived that he wants and it looks like they have agreed to sign these players. The Real Madrid management has agreed to sign a Left-back and a Centre-back according to reports. The prime targets that are being monitored are:
CB prospects-
1) Ibrahima Konate–

The Frenchman’s situation at Liverpool has been up in the talks lately as he has not signed a contract extension yet and he might be looking to go away this season. He might also consider the Trent factor, as his Liverpool teammate is already Bernabeu bound and will join them in June.
2) Dean Huijsen–

Although the Spaniard has said no to the Los Blancos earlier and wants to stay in the Premier league, Xabi Alonso might change the situation for him as the manager highly regards him and would like to have him in the team.
3) Piero Hincapie–

Hincapie is one of the future prospects of Bayer Leverkusen at the centre-back position and Xabi would love to reunite with him. He has one of the major performers at the defence line for Leverkusen. His ability to play as centre-back and also as left-back can help as Madrid is looking for both these positions and his versatility might just surge him ahead of others.
LB prospects-
1) Alvarro Carreras–

The Benfica player, who has impressed this whole season might just be what Madrid is looking for. Dynamic in nature and an attacking left-back option to stretch the play.
2) Milos Kerkez–

Madrid might have to wage war against Liverpool to sign him. The reds have been in this situation for a while now and as Andy Robertson has not been up to his best, it looks like they are looking at the Bournemouth players to solve the LB problems.
Madrid is also looking at him with the same spectacles and he appears to be highly demanded by some of the biggest European clubs.
3) Theo Hernandez–

If this signing happens, Xabi won’t be the only player ready for a homecoming. Theo Has been a pivotal part of the AC Milan team and now Madrid thinks it’s time to get the Frenchman back. His attacking exploits are known to everybody but his defending is a big question mark.
Xabi Alonso will be looking to sign these players and get the new era started.
