4 Things to Get Excited About WWE 2022

WWE has had a difficult few years. The McMahon family’s apology for the product felt like a long time coming when it finally came in December 2018, and matters have only gotten worse since then.

It seemed like 2021 ought to be better because 2020 was a disaster, but in many respects, it wasn’t. One may argue that this made the situation worse because the pandemonium couldn’t be excused by the fact that the performers were playing for no one in particular.

Here are 4 things to get excited about WWE 2022.

Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is always enjoyable, good or poor, regardless of what is going on in WWE.

Even if the entire card consists of filler and the aforementioned Battle Royal extravaganzas, those two matchups have enough intrigue and worth to fuel a large portion of the year’s initial excitement and serve as the catalyst for The Road to WrestleMania.

You never know who will make a comeback from injury, which legends will make a comeback, who will win the match and begin their quest for a world title, or whether any important programmes will be launched as a result of what happens in this one event.

Superstars Making Progress

With the transition to NXT 2.0, WWE didn’t only give the brand a fresh coat of paint (both literally and symbolically). There have been many new Superstars introduced, and there will be more.

However, those Superstars have often had a difficult time. Even someone who regularly watches NXT and keeps track of every member of the roster feels that only a small number of people are receiving enough attention to be recognized. Casual viewers who watch mostly Raw and SmackDown are unlikely to be able to name half of the NXT cast if given a list of possible answers.

These notable Superstars, including Tony D’Angelo, Harland, and Solo Sikoa, are in the midst of a significant growth phase in which we will witness enormous advancements in a short amount of time.

Return to Action for Bayley

Since June, Bayley has been absent from the scene. However, she just went live on Instagram to announce that she is doing well and getting ready to make a comeback.

Despite being a member of the Four Horsewomen and one of the most well-known Superstars in women’s title history with one of the longest reigns, Bayley was mostly overlooked at WrestleMania 37.

Maybe 2022 will be her time to completely get back on track and have the Road to WrestleMania 38 she deserves after a lackluster WrestleMania 36 that was obviously simply a delay because WWE didn’t want to start a rivalry with Sasha Banks in front of no audience.
