The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued an equitable penalty of INR 24 lakhs as a consequence of Pant’s non-compliance with the Code of Conduct of the tournament.
Second IPL 2025 Offense for Rishabh Pant
It was the second over-rate offense for Rishabh Pant and his team in the current 18th season of the Indian Premier League. The offense comes under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which deals with minimum over-rate offenses.
Though Pant copped the maximum with a ₹24 lakh fine, other playing members such as the Impact Player were fined INR 6 lakhs or 25% of match fees, whichever was lesser.
