Brock Lesnar has always been a major force in WWE. Fans never know when he’ll show up next and when he does, it’s usually big. At SummerSlam 2025, Lesnar surprised everyone by coming back and attacking John Cena just after Cena lost his title to Cody Rhodes. That one moment flipped the mood of the whole event and reminded fans why Lesnar is called The Beast Incarnate.

But this wasn’t the first time Brock returned as a heel. Let’s look at four other times when Lesnar came back to WWE and caused chaos in full heel mode.

Brock Lesnar Returns on RAW After WrestleMania 28

Back in 2012, on the RAW after WrestleMania 28, John Cena was in the ring. He had just lost to The Rock the night before in a match called Once in a Lifetime. Cena was giving a serious promo and had even called out The Rock again.

But instead of The Rock, it was Brock Lesnar’s music that hit. The crowd went crazy. Lesnar walked down, smiled, and acted like he was going to shake hands with Cena. But then boom! he lifted Cena and hit a huge F-5, leaving him laid out in the ring. The message was clear: Brock was back, and he wasn’t here to make friends.

Brock Lesnar’s Shocking 2015 RAW Return

On June 15, 2015, fans got another surprise. Seth Rollins was in the ring with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They were going to reveal who Seth’s next WWE World Heavyweight Championship opponent would be.

And then came Brock Lesnar, walking in with Paul Heyman. The crowd popped hard. Rollins looked terrified. Why? Because just a few months before, he had stolen the title from Brock at WrestleMania 31 with a last-minute Money in the Bank cash-in a moment now known as the Heist of the Century.

This return made one thing clear Lesnar had not forgotten. And he was back to settle scores.

Brock Lesnar Returns to SmackDown in 2022

On the June 17, 2022, episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns had just beaten Matt Riddle to keep his Undisputed WWE Championship. The Usos and Paul Heyman joined him in the ring to celebrate.

And then out came Brock Lesnar. The last time fans had seen him, Roman had defeated him at WrestleMania 38. But this time, Brock wasn’t smiling.

He walked into the ring and offered Roman a handshake. But as Roman reached out, Lesnar hit a massive F-5 not just to Reigns, but also to The Usos. The fans went wild. Lesnar didn’t just return he returned like a storm.

The Latest: SummerSlam 2025

This is Lesnar’s most recent return, and possibly one of his most powerful. On Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025, Cody Rhodes and John Cena fought in a Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship. After a hard-fought battle, Cody won the match and the title.

As Cody walked away, leaving Cena in the ring to enjoy one final moment with the fans, Brock Lesnar’s music hit.

The Beast walked out. The crowd erupted. Cena, tired and broken, had no strength to fight back. Lesnar lifted him and delivered a brutal F-5, ending the show on a shocking note.
