This means Reigns will be back in action at the Royal Rumble 2026 in Saudi Arabia, just eight days from now. This will be his first appearance since Survivor Series, making it a big moment for WWE fans.
A Quiet Year for Roman Reigns
The year 2025 was different for Roman Reigns. After losing his Undisputed Championship, he did not appear as often on WWE shows. Many fans noticed a pattern where he would return for a match and then disappear again for a break.
His last major moment came at Survivor Series, where he had a tense face-to-face with Cody Rhodes. During that moment, Reigns made it clear that they would not team up again. This led many to believe their rivalry could continue at WrestleMania 42.
However, things changed when Cody Rhodes lost the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre. This has made the future story between Reigns and Rhodes less certain.
Royal Rumble Brings Reigns Back Into the Spotlight

While that match decides the current champion’s path, the Royal Rumble will decide who earns the right to challenge at WrestleMania.
