The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed the MI IPL 2026 Schedule for the first phase of the tournament. This schedule contains the first round of matches in Season 19 of the Indian Premier League, which begins on March 28, 2026.

The Mumbai Indians are hoping to reclaim their title after failing to make it to the final of the IPL for several years and will be looking to start their bid for the championship at this tournament. Below is a detailed list of the MI IPL 2026 schedule, all of the players who will comprise the MI IPL 2026 squad, and anything else fans may need to know regarding this upcoming tournament.

IPL 2026 Opening Match Details

The 2026 Season of the IPL will start on March 28 2026 with a matchup between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (defending champions) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Venue: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

Match: RCB vs SRH

At this time the League has only announced 20 Matches due to the upcoming State Assembly Elections In India.
