An uncapped Indian bowler has thrown the fastest delivery in IPL 2026. Fast bowlers have been regularly impressing throughout IPL 2026 with their speed as much as the batsmen have. Many matches throughout IPL 2026 have had deliveries at over 145 km/h, which also increased the excitement of the spectators.

From the beginning of the season, several of these bowlers have already singled themselves out amongst other bowlers by delivering at extreme speeds. Some of these bowlers are veterans and others are youngsters.

Although Chennai suffered a one-sided defeat in that match, Overton certainly troubled the batsmen to some extent with his bounce and pace.

4. Kagiso Rabada – 149.1 kmph

Kagiso Rabada, representing the Gujarat Titans, holds the fourth position on this list. He has delivered a ball at a blistering speed of 149.1 kmph.

The combination of Rabada’s experience and his raw pace makes him a formidable threat at all times. While he has proven to be somewhat expensive in both matches played so far in IPL 2026, he has undoubtedly kept the batsmen in check with several of his express deliveries.

3. Kartik Tyagi – 149.7 kmph

Kolkata Knight Riders’ Kartik Tyagi currently sits 3rd overall among all IPL 2026 bowlers with regards to the fastest ball (149.7 kmph) delivered.

During the match between KKR & MI at Wankhede Stadium, he showed just how strong a weapon his pace is, Tyagi was clocked at 149.7 kmph this young fast bowler has the potential to be even faster in his next match.

2. Anrich Nortje – 150.9 kmph

Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Anrich Nortje is already renowned for his blistering pace. In IPL 2026, during a match played against the Delhi Capitals in Lucknow, he delivered a ball at a speed of 150.9 kmph.

Although Anrich Nortje conceded more runs than expected in that particular match, he bowled several deliveries exceeding 145 kmph three of which even clocked speeds upwards of 149 kmph. Consequently, his ability to consistently bowl at high speeds could prove to be a major weapon for the Lucknow Super Giants.

1. Ashok Sharma – 154.2 kmph

The Gujarat Titans fast bowler currently holds the record for fastest bowl in IPL 2026. During the 9th match of IPL 2026 played against the Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad he bowled the last ball of the 16th over at a quick pace of 154.2km/h.

Also, he bowled the fourth ball of that same over at a speed of 150.7km/h, demonstrating his ability to bowl consistently fast. He has bowled many balls over 145km/h during this entire spell, proving he is going to be an ‘X-factor’ fast bowler for the Gujarat Titans this season.

There will be additional excitement regarding who can throw the fastest throw in the Indian Premier League in 2026, as the tournament continues. There will probably also be new ways to change the list of fastest deliveries, and more records related to the speed of bowlers will likely be established.
