As a left-handed batsman, he enjoys a good reputation as a batsman who plays aggressively with a calm attitude during his innings, he is already establishing a mark for himself in domestic and U19 cricket.

Sahil has an impressive journey through age group teams (U16 and U19) onto the Senior Team for Maharashtra at a very young age. Parakh has recently made headlines again after making his IPL debut with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Sahil Parakh was born on 7th June 2007 in Nashik and from the start of his life, he had been a good batter and very skilled all-rounder.

Sahil was able to build his name as a cricketer through his success at the school level by scoring runs at inter-school tournaments. Sahil was a very successful batter and also an allrounder who contributed to the team by bowling when it was required.

These performances led to him being selected for the age-group cricket setup in the state of Maharashtra very quickly after beginning his cricketing career.

Earning a Spot in the Maharashtra Team Through Strong Performances in Domestic Cricket and Leagues

After showing great skills at batting and showing that he’s able to hit good shots while being calm at the crease and using proper technique, Sahil was chosen to be a part of the Maharashtra Under-19 cricket team as an opener because of his outstanding performances at this position.

Although Sahil’s talent earned him a place in the Under-19 team, he did not make it onto the field during the World Cup, but had the opportunity to show his abilities during his innings of 100 runs against Australia.

Through recognising his exceptional skill set, Sahil was provided with an opportunity to play in the T20 league in Maharashtra representing Eagle Nashik Titans; he had successful runs, which led to him being awarded a state Team selection and making his state team debut vs UP.

Sahil’s IPL Debut: Not a Memorable One

Impressed by his talent, the Delhi Capitals acquired Sahil for Rs30 lakh during the IPL auction. With Sri Lankan opener Nissanka consistently struggling for form, Sahil was slated to make his debut against the Punjab Kings; however, just prior to the match, he was struck in the face by a ball during practice, forcing him to miss that game.

Nevertheless, Sahil has now successfully made his IPL debut against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match did not go well for him, however, as he was bowled out by Bhuvneshwar Kumar without even opening his account.
