However, this time was different, and Yashaswi Jaiswal became the fastest Indian batter to reach the mark in his 62nd innings of the season.

He scored his 4,000th T20 run while facing Mitchell Starc of the Delhi Capitals pace attack during the first over of the match. It took him just 129 innings to become the fastest Indian batter alongside Shubman Gill to score 4,000 T20 runs.

Yashaswi Jaiswal’s Rise as a T20 Superstar

Yashaswi Jaiswal is one of Rajasthan Royals most important players since he joined the team during the 2020 season of the IPL. As an aggressive batsman capable of taking disadvantage of bowlers during the powerplay, Yashaswi has been one of Rajasthan Royals strongest batsman since joining them.

In the 2023 season of IPL, he scored 625 runs during 14 innings with an extraordinary average of 48.07. He also had a great season in 2025 by scoring 559 runs with an average of 43, which is outstanding for someone so young.

IPL 2026 Playoff Scenario Gets Intense

There is no doubt that the IPL 2026 playoffs battle has already become extremely fierce. Currently, the Rajasthan Royals occupy the fifth spot on the points chart with 6 wins out of 11 games thanks to the team captain Riyan Parag.

As for the Delhi Capitals, they continue struggling in the bottom part of the points table having lost 7 out of 12 games played with Axar Patel acting as their captain. It is becoming clear that the Delhi players’ chance of making it to the playoffs is very small.

However, despite all the intense rivalry in IPL 2026, one should say that the most striking element of this game was Yashaswi Jaiswal’s record-breaking success.
