Virat Kohli-led Team India has defeated England by 157 runs in the fourth test match at the Oval. In a complete team effort, the Indian side also had so many record-breaking moments.

The Virat Kohli-led side went on Day 4 after much tension as COVID-19 impacted the team. Yet, the team did so well in the match to take the lead 2-1 against England.

It was a stunning effort from the Indian bowlers, who dominated the proceedings from the word go on Day 5 and decimated the England batting line-up. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for India with a brilliant spell of 2/27 in 27 overs where he scalped the important wickets of Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow.

With the win, Virat Kohli achieved another milestone as the captain of the Indian team as he emulated the legendary Kapil Dev’s feat. Kohli became only the second Indian captain after Kapil to win two test matches in a Test series in England. Kapil Dev had led the Indian team to a 2-0 win in a Test series in England in 1986 when he first achieved the feat.

Yes, Virat Kohli and co are extremely proud of this win. But Rohit Sharma also mentions how the same effort needs to show in the last test.

Team India goes against England on 10th September from the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. All the best to Team India!
