The BCCI and ECB boards have to decide on the canceled fifth test match. The COVID-19 scare, unfortunately, canceled the decider for the India vs England match.

The India vs England final test match scheduled at Manchester stands canceled. Team India’s physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar had tested positive for COVID-19 in a lateral flow test.

Now, the players in the Indian contingent have already reached the UAE for the Indian Premier League.

The England Wales Cricket Board has written to the International Cricket Council to solve the test. At present, India is leading 2-1 against England.

It is to be noted that, if the ICC rules the test as abandoned then India wins the series at 2+1 but if England gets a forfeiture as per a DRC ruling then it will be a 2-2 verdict.

At present, both the team management haven’t come up with a proper solution. Hope that the authorities come up with a proper solution.

Some of the Indian contingent members have also tested positive for COVID-19. Hoping that they have a speedy recovery. The Indian contingent will now feature in the Indian Premier League taking place in the UAE. Best of luck to the Indian squad for the IPL too!

As a result, now the Indian contingent is not available to play the match for now.
