The NXT Championship is the premier championship of the NXT brand division of the American professional wrestling company WWE. It was developed and promoted by WWE. On the July 1, 2012, edition of NXT, NXT Commissioner Dusty Rhodes announced a Gold Rush tournament in which four wrestlers from the developmental roster and four from the main roster would compete in a single elimination match to become the first NXT Champion. Let’s look into the NXT champions list of WWE.

Luke Harper

With World Wrestling Entertainment, where he was renowned for his soft-spoken aggression in the ring, Mr. Huber first gained notoriety. Before joining the NXT brand during his stint with WWE, he had success on the independent circuit. He competed against other wrestlers, including The Shield, Kane, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and the Usos, employing “aggressive offensive and insane mind games,” according to WWE. According to his WWE biography, Mr. Huber “moved with a surprising speed for a 6-foot-5 giant.” “Anyone who tried to go across the ring from him was knocked down by his jaw-rattling clotheslines and furious dives to the outside.” He first won the intercontinental title in 2014, and then the SmackDown Tag Team and NXT Tag Team titles.

Ashton Monroe

Ashton Monroe Anderson, a professional wrestler and actor from the United States, was born on June 26, 1987. He is a member of the WWE and competes under the NXT brand. In Mexico and Japan, where he has won the ULLW Junior Heavyweight Championship three times and the ULLW Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship twice with Rocky Romero, Anderson is well renowned for his independent work. Additionally, he placed second in 2013 Best of the Super Juniors competition. Anderson has become the first-ever two-time NXT Champion since joining the WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. He was also the first dual champion for the company, winning both the NXT Championship and one-half of the NXT Tag Team Championship in the same evening.

Seth Rollins

Colby Daniel Lopez is an American professional wrestler who was born on May 28, 1986. He is currently employed by WWE, where he can be seen performing on the Raw brand as Seth Rollins. He was named the first NXT Champion after WWE changed the name of FCW to NXT. At the 2012 Survivor Series, Lopez made his main roster debut for WWE with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as a member of the Shield. Together with Reigns, Rollins and the WWE Tag Team Championship became the top dogs on the main roster.
