Laura Wolvaardt (born April 26, 1999) is a South African cricket player who has represented Western Province, Adelaide Strikers, Northern Superchargers, and South Africa. She bats first as a right-handed batter. She initially represented the Brisbane Heat.
Wolvaardt, 13, was chosen to compete for the Western Province U-19 girls’ squad. She debuted for the Western Province senior team in a Twenty20 match against Boland women in October 2013, hitting 13 runs off 18 balls. She scored her limited overs breakthrough for Western Province against Boland in November 2013, hitting 4 from 14 balls. She was the leading scorer in the 2013 Cricket South Africa Under 19 Girls Week and represented Western Province again in 2014.
She was labelled to the Brisbane Heat team for the 2017-18 Women’s Big Bash League season in November 2017. She was named to the Brisbane Heat squad for the 2018-19 Women’s Big Bash League season in November 2018. She appeared in the Heat’s championship game against the Sydney Sixers. The heat won the championship match. Laura’s WBBL career persisted after she signed with the Adelaide Strikers for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 Australian summer seasons.
She was designated to the Terblanche XI team for the debut Women’s T20 Super League in South Africa in September 2019. She was formulated by the Northern Superchargers for the debut season of The Hundred in 2021. She was purchased by the Northern Superchargers in April 2022 for the 2022 season of The Hundred.
