AFG vs BAN: Afghanistan will host Bangladesh for a white-ball bilateral series in the UAE, comprising three T20Is and three ODIs in October 2025. This eagerly awaited AFG vs BAN series will begin a mere four days after the September 28 final of the Asia Cup.

All T20Is will be conducted at Sharjah, and ODIs will be played at Abu Dhabi.

Bangladesh Likely to Stay in UAE After Asia Cup

The Bangladesh national cricket team is likely to stay in the UAE after their Asia Cup 2025 group stage obligation. Both Afghanistan and Bangladesh are grouped with Sri Lanka and Hong Kong in Group B and are due to meet on September 16 in Abu Dhabi. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Fours.

Series Was Originally Scheduled for July 2024 in India

Originally, this BAN vs AFG bilateral series was a part of a full-format tour originally scheduled to take place in July 2024 in Greater Noida, India, and it was to feature two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. However, the series was rescheduled because of unfavorable weather conditions and Bangladesh’s constrained international schedule. It was later rearranged as a white-ball series in the UAE.
