Hossain, who gained a reputation as a fabulous spinner, had an ordinary day at the SCG. His fourth over, in the innings of the Melbourne Stars, was his costliest over as he conceded 6 boundaries at the hands of Duckett. Hossain conceded 24 runs from that over and ended with some very disappointing figures of 1 wicket for 50 runs in 4 overs.
Hossain was not working that well with his line and length, and the opposing team took advantage. Duckett made some use of it, scoring fours around the ground. Yes, Hossain did concede one wicket but certainly couldn’t be seen talking of economy as it turned out to be high as a result of him losing this match completely.
