Indian cricket team will be up against England in the first ODI on Tuesday, 12th July at The Oval, London. The three-match ODI series is due to play after the three-match T20Is. India defeated England in the first and second T20I to lift the series’ trophy. Despite getting the defeat in the last game, there were many positives to take for India cricket team as their middle order batter named Suryakumar Yadav played an emphatic innings to get the team very close to victory.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 117 runs in just 55 balls but couldn’t cross the victory line. Now, as per reports, Virat Kohli will miss the first ODI against England due to a groin injury. He sustained it during the training (as per reports). Virat Kohli is not in a good touch lately but skipper Rohit Sharma and the team back him (as per Rohit’s recent press conference).

As Kohli is not fit to play, the question arises is who will replace him in the team? Shreyas Iyer is the option Indian management would look to. Shreyas Iyer could be back in the playing XI and would be playing at No. 4, moving Suryakumar Yadav up the order at No. 3. However, Virat injury news is still not confirmed by BCCI.
