Soon after the lunch break, Todd Murphy, a rookie, defeated Virat Kohli early in his session.
Despite Rohit Sharma’s India being on the approach of taking the lead after the first innings of the first Test in Nagpur, Murphy has claimed four wickets.
Although Virat Kohli left India on the first ball of the second session, Rohit Sharma manages to hold down one end. All four Indian wickets taken thus far in the innings have been taken by Todd Murphy.
India defeated Australia for 177 runs on Day 1 before scoring 77 runs themselves. The majority of the overs were bowled by Ravindra Jadeja, who also helped India skittle Australia out for a meagre score after the visitors decided to bat first in the series opener by recording his 11th five-for (5 for 47) in 22 overs. In Test cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin finished with 3 for 42 and 450 wickets.

Kohli thought he might help himself by making a few runs with the stare. Carey did a terrific job of remaining low, putting his hands on the ball, and taking it on the second attempt. However, because there was no bounce, he could not control the shot. In disbelief, Kohli drags himself away.
Todd Murphy consistently used the same line and length throughout this test. He hasn’t bowled many wide deliveries or foul balls, which has contributed to his performance thus far.
After starting day two on 1-77, the hosts finished the day at 3-151, just 26 runs behind Australia’s total of 177.
On Thursday, Murphy caught his own bowling to eliminate India’s opener KL Rahul and claimed Australia’s lone wicket before the game ended.
