Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli is the Indian Premier League’s all-time highest run-scorer (IPL).

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli is the Indian Premier League’s all-time highest run-scorer (IPL). He has appeared in 207 matches, scoring 6,283 runs with a strike rate of 129.94 and an average of 37.39. In the IPL, Kohli has five hundred and 42 half-centuries.

The 33-year-old is the first player in T20 league history to have scored over 6,000 runs. Shikhar Dhawan of India is the second-highest run-scorer of all time, with 5784 runs in 192 matches.

RCB v/s RPS (IPL 2017)

In Match 17 of the IPL 2017 between RCB and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in Bengaluru, Kohli grabbed a superb catch to dismiss Rahul Tripathi (31). Tripathi created room and tried an inside-out drive in the ninth over of the innings, delivered by left-arm spinner Pawan Negi. The ball was hammered sharply to the left of short cover, but Kohli dove to his left and screamed it home with one hand. Even Tripathi was taken aback by the attempt. He lingered for a long, trying to make sense of what had occurred.

RPS, on the other hand, went on to win the tournament by 27 runs. RCB managed just 134 for 9 while chasing 162.

RCB v/s KKR (IPL 2018)

During the RCB vs. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL 2018 match in Bengaluru, Kohli made a wonderful catch to dismiss KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik for 23 off 10.

Karthik lofted Mohammed Siraj cleans down the ground in the 19th over of KKR’s innings, but the timing was off. Kohli, who was positioned at long-on, ran to his left at full speed and then executed a full-length dive to complete the catch with two hands just as the ball was about to reach the ground.

RCB v/s CSK (IPL 2021)

Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) miscued an attempted drive off leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the ninth over of Chennai’s innings. Kohli superbly intercepted the ball. He shifted to his left from the backward position, executed a full-length dive forward, and finished the take.

RCB v/s KKR (IPL 2019)

During Match 35 of the IPL 2019 between RCB and KKR in Kolkata, Kohli completed a brilliant juggling catch to dismiss Shubman Gill for 9.

Gill attempted to smash a yorker-length delivery from Dale Steyn through the off-side in the fifth over of KKR’s innings. The hitter, though, miscued the stroke and it sailed uppishly towards Kohli at mid-off. He reached for the ball, which was barely over his head, with both hands, but it slid out. The fielder, on the other hand, composed himself and snagged the rebound with one hand.

RCB v/s PBKS (IPL 2018)

Kohli demonstrated again why he is regarded as such a safe outfielder during an IPL 2018 match between RCB and Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Andrew Tye (7) attempted to loft a full ball from Chris Woakes on off stump in the 18th over of Punjab’s innings. However, he was only able to toe-end the stroke towards the long-off zone. Kohli went to his left from long-on and safely caught the ball in front of the defender at long-off. The catch was sweeter for the RCB batsman since his wife Anushka Sharma was heard applauding from the stands.
