A batsman’s worst nightmare in any form of cricket is being out for a duck. This is also true for T20 cricket and the IPL. In some cases, a player becomes nervous during the first few balls and frequently returns to the pavilion without registering a run. That is one of the factors why some players sigh with relief when they score their first run of the game. The Indian Premier League, and even the T20 format in general, is recognized to be advantageous to batsmen. However, when the batsmen are already out of form or the opposition bowlers are still in form, it only takes one delivery to bring them back to the pavilion without having scored a single run.

The Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batsman has demonstrated the ability and possibility to be the batsman who can save the team when needed. Karthik has been a lower-order finisher for several teams, including the Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Daredevils, to name a few. He has played 242 IPL matches and has 17 ducks in his career.

It may be a surprise to see Rohit Sharma’s name appear on the list, but it does exist. Rohit constructed his IPL debut in 2008 with the Deccan Chargers as an off-spinner and lower-order batsman. Ever since, the ‘Hitman’ has turned the tables and defined himself as an IPL batting legend, scoring 5879 runs at an average of 30.30. Despite this, Rohit has 14 ducks in his IPL career.

  • Sunil Narine

The iconic Sunil Narine is up next. he is well-known for his mystery bowling and pinch-hitting abilities. Bhajji has played in 162 IPL matches and batted in 96 of them, scoring 1046 runs at a strike rate of 159.69. However, he has been returned to the pavilion on a duck 15 times.

  • Mandeep Singh

Mandeep Singh, an Indian batsman widely recognized for his cool and collected demeanor, is one such cricketer on whom the team can rely. Mandeep could keep the scoreboard ticking with his brilliant stroke play. He, too, has been a victim of the bowlers on 15 occasions.

  • Rashid Khan 

Rashid Khan began his career in the 2017 season of the Indian Premier League and has since worn the jerseys of two teams, which are Surisers Hyderabad and Gujrat Titans. Rashid has been out on 14 occasions while generally finishing the innings.
