Manchester United To Win Premier League Title By 2028 As Per CEO’s Deadline
With an objective to set the house in order, Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada is said to have set a deadline for Manchester United to win the Premier League title by 2028.
There is no end in sight to Manchester United’s underwhelming run in the Premier League. Fans have been left disappointed one season after another and much criticism has been aimed at the manager.
With an objective to set the house in order, Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada is said to have set a deadline for the Red Devils to win the Premier League title by 2028.
Berrada has reportedly named the plan “Project 150,”.
“Project 150” coincides with the team’s 150th anniversary when it was founded as Newton Heath in 1878, before being renamed to Manchester United in 1902.
“I think it’s the club’s 150-year anniversary in 2028… if our trajectory is leading to a very good place in that sort of timeframe then we’d be very happy with that. Because it’s not easy to turn Manchester United into the world’s best football team. The ultimate target for Manchester United — and it’s always going to be thus, really — is that we should be challenging for the Premier League and challenging for the Champions League. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
Berrada is said to have told United staff about his plans to bring the coveted prize in English football back to Old Trafford in a staff meeting. Many of his employees are reportedly fretting about their job security after it was confirmed that INEOS would be axing a quarter of positions at the football club.
In the same meeting, the top executive conveyed his ambitions for the women’s team winning their first WSL (Women Super League) title by the same deadline.

United are currently in the bottom half of the table after an inconsistent start to the new campaign. They last won their Premier League title in 2012-13 when the Red Devils under Sir Alex Ferguson, which was his final season at Old Trafford. Since then, United have failed to lift the trophy and only managed to finish as runners-up twice in 2018 under Jose Mourinho and in 2021 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Now, the high ambitions of finishing at the top will put even more pressure on manager Erik ten Hag who has become the centre of criticism for United’s poor show.
