Rinku Singh Begins New Chapter With MP Priya Saroj In Lucknow Event

India’s young batter Rinku Singh took a big step in his personal life by getting engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj. The ceremony took place on June 8 at The Centrum Hotel in Lucknow. It was a private event where only close family, some cricket and political people were invited.

The Couple Arrived in Matching Outfits

Before the engagement, Rinku visited the Chaudhera Wali Vichitra Devi Temple in Bulandshahr with his family. After that, the couple reached the venue together wearing white and pink matching outfits. Their clothes showed their strong bond.

Fulcurn Hall Was Decorated With Flowers and Lights

The engagement took place at Fulcurn Hall of The Centrum Hotel. The hall was decorated with flowers and colourful lights. It has space for over 300 people, but only selected VIPs were invited. A video is going viral where Rinku and Priya are seen holding hands.

Famous People From Politics and Cricket Attended

Many well-known people were part of the ceremony. Former cricketers Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla, UP Ranji captain Aryan Juyal, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Yadav, and Priya’s close friend Iqra Hasan were all present. Congress leader Rajeev Shukla and SP senior leader Professor Ram Gopal Yadav were also there.

Special Menu Had Lucknowi Food and Global Touch

A big 12×16-foot stage was set at the centre of the hall. Rinku and Priya chose the menu themselves. It had mostly Lucknow-style vegetarian food. There were also Bengali sweets like rasgulla and kaju-paneer rolls. Some European and Asian-style starters were added too.

Guests were welcomed with a special drink called “kuhara” made from coconut. Rinku’s favourite dishes, paneer tikka and matar malai, were the main items. Other dishes like malai kofta, kadai paneer, veg manchurian, and spring rolls were also served.

Tight Security Arrangements

15 rooms in the hotel were booked for guests. Out of these, 5 rooms were kept for Rinku’s close friends. Security was strict, only those with barcoded passes could enter. Private guards and local police were there to keep everything safe.

Rinku’s IPL 2025 Season Was Quiet

Rinku didn’t have a very strong season in IPL 2025. He scored 206 runs with an average of 29.42 and a strike rate of 153.73 playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. The team won only 5 out of 14 matches and finished 8th with 12 points.

Rinku Still a Key Player in India’s T20 Team

Even though his IPL form was not great, Rinku is still an important part of India’s T20 squad. He has scored 507 runs in 30 matches at an average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14. He has 3 half-centuries and made his debut in 2023 against Ireland.

Strong Record in Domestic Cricket Too

Rinku has also played 2 ODIs for India. He has done well with scoring 1,899 runs in 52 innings with an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 94.8 in domestic List A matches. He is known as a dependable domestic player.
