Why Is Virat Kohli Thinking About Retiring?

Kohli has not been at his best in red-ball cricket. His form in Tests has dropped in recent years:

• Only 3 centuries in 39 Tests since 2020
• Averages less than 23 in his last 10 matches
• India lost two big Test series – 0-3 to New Zealand and 1-3 to Australia
  

All of this seems to have taken a toll on Kohli, both mentally and emotionally.

A source told a leading newspaper:

“He has made up his mind and told the board he wants to move on from Tests. But the BCCI has asked him to reconsider. He hasn’t given a final answer yet.”
