Due to heavy rain, the third Twenty20 International (T20I) between England and Pakistan, which was supposed to take place at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on May 28th, was sadly called off without a ball being bowled. This comes after the first game of the four-match series was seriously impacted by the weather at Headingley.
After winning the second Twenty20 International at Edgbaston by a dominating 23 runs, England presently have a 1-0 lead. Before the T20 World Cup, which starts in less than a week, both teams will be frustrated to have missed out on crucial match preparation.
Frustrating Wait for Fans and Players
An hour before the match was due to start, the rain started to fall heavily in Cardiff and never let up for even a reduced-overs match. Following a lengthy inspection, the umpires called off the game because of a saturated outfield, leaving stadium spectators with an aggravating wait.
