“IKILLU” Gautam Gambhir Threatened After Pahalgam Terror Attack: ISIS Kashmir Issues Warning
In this article find out about the report Gautam Gambhir threatened by ISIS after his firm stand against Pahalgam Terror attack.

Gautam Gambhir, a former Indian cricketer and current head coach of the national team, was issued a death threat from ‘ISIS Kashmir’, which arose after the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 were killed, which presented an extremely overwhelming security risk, and national outrage.
India Remembers Pahalgam Terror Attack
Baisaran in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir was thrust into tragedy on April 22, 2025, when terrorists targeted unarmed civilians, resulting in the deaths of no less than 26 tourists and more than 20 were injured. The attack is one of the most horrific attacks after the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.
Gautam Gambhir Threatened by Terror Outfit
Soon after denouncing the attack in public, Gautam Gambhir was threatened by email by a group calling themselves ‘ISIS Kashmir’. The ex-cricketer received two threatening emails on April 22—one in the afternoon and one in the evening, according to reports by the news agency ANI. Both emails eerily stated: “IKillU”.
Quick Response by Delhi Police
After the threat, Gautam Gambhir filed a formal complaint with the Delhi Police on April 23. He met with officials at the Rajinder Nagar Police Station and the DCP of Central Delhi, requesting them to file a First Information Report (FIR) and take immediate action. The police are now investigating the origin of the emails actively and increasing security arrangements for Gambhir and his family.
Not the First Threat to Gambhir
This is not the first threat Gautam Gambhir has faced. Gautam Gambhir, a Member of Parliament, had faced a similar threat from suspected terror groups in November 2021. These repeated threats are a cause for fresh concern regarding the security of high-profile public personalities who make anti-terror statements.
Gambhir’s Firm Position Against Terror
Before he received the death threats, Gautam Gambhir tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the Pahalgam killings and feeling angry:
“Praying for the families of the dead. Those who committed this will pay. India will strike.”
Gambhir’s strong stance against terror outfits has brought him praise and criticism alike, but he doesn’t keep silent when it comes to India’s national security.
Gambhir’s Current Role with Team India
Gautam Gambhir recently piloted Team India to victory against the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held in Dubai. After the triumph, he enjoyed a short break in France along with his family. He is now gearing up for India’s forthcoming five-Test series against England, whose commencement is to be held on June 20.
Security Intensified Surrounding Gautam Gambhir
With Gautam Gambhir once again being threatened, authorities are going all out to conduct an investigation. Security for the cricket icon and his family has been enhanced, with the case being dealt with as a high-priority national issue. The country is united behind Gambhir, who continues to represent Indian cricket while fearlessly challenging terrorism.
