Following their victory parade, the Indian cricket players danced to the sounds of dhol at the ceremony being held at the Wankhede Stadium.

The team led by Rohit Sharma began the parade of open-top buses from Marine Drive. Crowds flocked to see the team that had won the T20 World Cup, dancing to the music of India’s triumph.

Players Thanked Indian Fans in the Victory Parade

Players were seen thanking their supporters and raising the coveted trophy high in the air throughout the parade.

As the bus passed them, some of the fans got up on the tree and cheered for the team, demonstrating their passion for the team.

Vice-President Rajiv Shukla, Secretary Jay Shah, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) all participated in the festivities and were spotted with the players on the bus.

Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal carried the Indian flag on their shoulders as India celebrated their 13-year ICC World Cup trophy drought-breaking victory.

Rohit Sharma was seen raising his hands in the air with Rahul Dravid and batter Suryakumar Yadav during the celebration.

Mumbai was already covered in cricket fever, as seen by the large number of spectators that turned out to see Team India’s victory parade prior to the team’s arrival.

The whole globe was watching a spectacle unfold on the streets of Mumbai as they looked forward to seeing their favourite stars.

The Indian team landed at the New Delhi airport early in the morning before travelling to Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted brunch for the Indian players and team management at his home following their arrival.

The Men in Blue wore a special jersey with two stars above the BCCI emblem for their meeting with the Prime Minister. The two T20 World Cup victories were symbolized by the stars. ‘CHAMPIONS’ was inscribed in strong letters on the jersey.
