Irish Team played its first cricket match against the Gentlemen of England in 1855 in Dublin. The Irish team played their first first-class match on 19 May 1902. The match was played against a London countryside. After the introduction of the ICC Intercontinental Cup cricket, the Ireland Cricket Team regularly played first-class cricket matches.
