Lomror’s innings of 300* runs, at an almost unbelievable strike rate of 83, caught the eye of cricket watchers as well as the IPL scouts. From U-19 to IPL
It has not been a rather eventful journey in cricket for Lomror. As part of the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, Lomror was first picked up by Delhi Daredevils, now Delhi Capitals, for the 2018 IPL season. His real association with the IPL began, though, after he moved on to Rajasthan Royals. After very few outings in 2019 and 2020, it was Lomror’s career in the IPL that would take a turn when Rajasthan Royals retained him for the season of 2021.
Mahipal Lomror was yet again bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 mega auction, though he hardly got any playing chances. Recently he had performed exceptionally well in the Ranji Trophy and has been gradually improving his performance as a player, hence there are going to be many eyes on him during the next auction.
