Rohit Sharma Sets an Unwanted Record After Being Out For Duck Against Punjab Kings in IPL 2023 Match

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, was dismissed for a three-ball duck on Wednesday (May 3), the 46th match of the IPL 2023 against the Punjab Kings. At the PCA Stadium in Mohali, MI needed Rohit to get them off to a fast start because they were chasing 215 to win. However, he once again fell short and was dismissed for nothing. There were high expectations for him after he scored two runs against the Gujarat Titans and three runs against the Rajasthan Royals, but he utterly failed. In addition, by being dismissed for a duck, he joined KKR’s Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh, and RCB’s Dinesh Karthik on the list of batters who have been dismissed for ducks the most frequently in the lucrative league.
Rohit’s 0 against PBKS was his 15th in the IPL’s history, and he is now on a list he would prefer to forget. It was Rohit’s 200th game for MI and his 236th overall in the IPL, but on this notable day, he struggled at the plate.

Tim David and Tilak Varma took over to help the five-time champions reach the necessary total with seven balls to spare after Surya and Ishan’s partnership added 116 runs for the third wicket.
