Sarfaraz Khan Hurts Elbow Before Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but it is just days from the scheduled start of the series, and Team India has already faced an injury scare due to the loss of batsman Sarfaraz Khan, who was forced out of the team’s net practice session yesterday on November 14 owing to an elbow injury. News of this injury has added a new dimension to the excitement building up ahead of the first Test match between India and Australia on November 22 in Perth for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
Sarfaraz Khan injured during net practice at WACA
Sarfaraz Khan was involved with India in net practice at the WACA ground before the crucial BGT series when he suffered an injury on his right elbow. A video has emerged on social media where Sarfaraz walked off the ground, holding his elbow, in distress. Even though the severity of the injury wasn’t publicly declared, it was heard that Sarfaraz was pulled out of the nets with utmost caution.

Lately, Sarfaraz was seen talking to his teammates, and on that occasion, he had a very long conversation with Shubman Gill, which gives hope that the injury may not be too deep. The incident still kept the Indian camp on their toes while they tied up loose ends to finalize their preparation for the tests to be played.
Rohit Sharma Absence – Continuation of Injury Concerns for India
This is on top of Sarfaraz who has been ruled out by injury. India is also without their captain Rohit Sharma for the first two matches of the series.

Rohit is in Mumbai due to personal reasons, and his absence means that India will not have their captain at the start of the BGT. The void left by Dhawan will be filled in with Abhimanyu Easwaran who could make his debut for the side in the first Perth Test. He could get his big chance 28 years after being born. **Team India for Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
