Sports Digest Best T20I 11 Of 2025: As the year 2025 draws to a close, it is time to take a look back at another eventful year of global cricket. With T20I cricket growing in leaps and bounds in both ICC full-member and associate sides, it is a difficult task to choose a Best T20I XI of 2025.

In contrast, this team has been selected based on its performances, averages, strike rates, and the quality of the opposition. The team that has been formed is a very skilled and capable T20 International team that can tame any opposition, whether it is playing at home or abroad.

Best T20I 11 of 2025 – Full Team Analysis

1. Tim Seifert (New Zealand) – Opener & Wicketkeeper

Runs: 559

Average: 50.81

Strike Rate: 164.41

However, Tim Seifert remained the most well-rounded opening batsman in 2025. Not many opening batsmen in international cricket can perform consistently well under high-quality bowling attacks as Seifert has been able to do in 2025. Averages over 50 with a strike rate over 160 along with his capability to dominate powerplay, is a trait that few players possess to the level Seifert has achieved.

2. Abhishek Sharma (India) – Opener

Runs: 773

Average: 45.47

Strike Rate: 194.71

Abhishek Sharma turned in one of the most dominant T20I seasons in recent memory. A strike rate closing in on 195 married to massive run volume speaks to his remarkable influence.

Fearsome against both pace and spin, Sharma consistently took down bowling attacks early and ensured momentum flowed deep into the innings. He was rewarded with the No.1 ICC T20I batting ranking, which makes him one of the first names in this XI.

3. Jos Buttler (England) – Batter & Wicketkeeper

Runs: 311

Average: 38.87

Strike Rate: 147.39

Although Jos Buttler has not played as many innings, he has made them count. Again and again, he has led the English team out of tricky situations and home during tense chases. Buttler has a strike rate of almost 150 and is exceptional behind the wickets. He brings much-needed composure and experience to England’s middle order.

4. Dewald Brevis (South Africa) – Middle Order

Runs: 297

Average: 33.00

Strike Rate: 173.68

2025 was the year of a real international breakout for Dewald Brevis. His destructive batting approach turned the mid-over into launchpads, including an unbeaten 125 against Australia, which was a record T20 international century by a South African. At just 22 years of age, Brevis’s fearlessness, athleticism, and maturity contributed to making a success of his international debut.

5. Daryl Mitchell (New Zealand) – Middle Order

Runs: 164

Average: 32.80

Strike Rate: 149.09

The worth of Daryl Mitchell goes beyond numbers. Mostly playing in tough moments, he stabilized without holding back the momentum. Succeeding with easy resolve and flexibility, he allowed New Zealand to shift easily from one middle-over session to another.

6. Rovman Powell (West Indies) – Finisher

Runs: 188

Average: 37.60

Strike Rate: 172.47

Rovman Powell maintained his dominance as one of the world’s most feared finishers in the game. His power-play at the death saw many scoring positions turned into dominating ones. An average above 37 runs for a lower-order batsman is an indication that he has improved his decision-making at the crease without losing his intent to attack.

7. Michael Bracewell (New Zealand) – All-Rounder

Batting

Runs: 90

Average: 30.00

Strike Rate: 173.07

He represents the complete T20 all-rounder of modern cricket due to his adaptability to various situations of a game.

8. Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe) – All-Rounder & Captain

Batting

Runs: 536

Average: 24.36

Bowling

Wickets: 23

Average: 23.43

Sikandar Raza has once again shown that he is one of the best all-rounders in T20I cricket around the globe. The Zimbabwe all-rounder has been doing fantastically well with his off-spin bowling and has been successful with his bat as well when he has been sent to bat in the middle order. He is currently sitting at position 2 in the ICC all-rounder rankings in T20I cricket.

9. Corbin Bosch (South Africa) – Seam-Bowling All-Rounder

Batting

Runs: 89

Wickets: 18

Strike Rate: 13.60

Corbin Bosch was identified as one of the most successful seam bowlers and all-rounders of the year 2025. He was believed to be trusted in high-pressure situations during the overs. Even though he has not done much with the bat, the fact that he’s an able bowler at No. 8 is an added advantage for him.

10. Shaheen Shah Afridi (Pakistan) – Fast Bowler

Wickets: 26

Average: 21.38

Strike Rate: 17.20

There was some stellar T20 performance from Shaheen Afridi as well. Deadly with the new ball and a vastly improved performer with the death bowling, he remained the backbone of the Pakistan attack in all aspects. It’s hard to find bowlers who can turn a match around so quickly like Shaheen.

11. Varun Chakravarthy (India) – Spinner

Wickets: 28

Average: 13.64

Strike Rate: 11.70

Varun Chakravarthy was the most successful spin bowler in T20 Internationals in 2025. His strike rate of 11.7 balls per wicket reveals how often he disrupted partnerships. It was no lesser feat considering how batters-smash friendly was the era.
