Explore the list of five WWE celebrities who perhaps did not deserve a spot at the WWE Hall of Fame
The WWE Hall of Fame is often hailed and recognised as the highest honour for WWE wrestlers on a global level and as of 2024, the most coveted WWE Hall of Fame has had a total of 245 inductees, out of which a total of 131 wrestlers are inducted individually. André René Roussimoff, often referred to as “the eighth wonder of the world,” was acknowledged as the first inductee on March 22, 1993. Although the WWE Hall of Fame has witnessed the inclusion of 245 celebrities in the prestigious list, a few of them have faced brutal criticism and backlash from the audience and have been labelled as “undeserving” to warrant a spot among the other elite wrestlers in the list of WWE Hall of Fame.
In this article, we will take a look at the top five WWE celebrities who should not have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
-
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Former bodybuilder and Oscar-nominated actor turned politician Arnold Schwarzenegger was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015 as a celebrity inductee with all his contributions in the arena of sports entertainment. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame made it seem meaningless for the WWE fans, as he had made absolutely no worthwhile contributions to the world of WWE wrestling ever in his life and was only inducted into the prestigious list as a part of movie sponsorship.

The Fabulous Moolah
Mary Lilian Ellison, popularly referred to by her stage name “The Fabulous Moolah,” created history by being the first woman inductee into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame list in 1995. However, Moolah became one of the most controversial figures in the history of WWE in her late years and was charged with numerous allegations of robbery, assault, abuse, prostituting female wrestlers and drugging. Although WWE was brutally criticized and called out for inducting such an outrageous and controversial figure into the WWE Hall of Fame list, WWE never removed Moolah from the list, and she continues to be an inductee even today.

James Dudley
Although there’s nothing controversial about James Dudley, his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame list still left the fans scratching their heads. Apart from being Vincent J. McMahon’s driver and personal bodyguard, James Dudley also served as a personal manager for numerous prominent WWE wrestlers, including America’s Houston Harris, aka “Bobo Brazil.”. Since James Dudley had made no contributions in the WWE arena as a wrestler and wasn’t even a celebrity, his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame list called out for a major backlash and fuming criticism from the fans and followers of WWE.

John Bradshaw Layfield
One of the most popular WWE wrestlers in the history of SmackDown, John Bradshaw Layfield, aka JBL, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. As a consequence, John Bradshaw Layfield’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame wasn’t at all welcomed by a majority of WWE fans and the former wrestler was labelled “undeserving”. A few ardent fans of WWE even carried out provocative campaigns on social media against WWE for indicting a “bully” into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame.
