Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant had another disappointing outing in the IPL 2025 on Saturday, April 19, during the match against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Rishabh Pant Falls Early Yet Again in IPL 2025
Pant was dismissed for just 3 runs off 9 balls, falling to Wanindu Hasaranga in the 8th over. His dismissal came through a remarkable juggling catch by Dhruv Jurel, which left fans stunned and added to Pant’s ongoing batting woes.
Despite being the most expensive player in IPL history, Pant has failed to deliver with the bat this season. So far, he has struggled to find form, with scores of 0, 15, 2, 2, and 21 in his earlier matches. Although he did manage a half-century against Chennai Super Kings, it was a slow one, scoring 63 off 49 balls, with his fifty coming in 42 deliveries, and LSG still lost the match.

On the fourth ball, Wanindu Hasaranga bowled a length delivery, and Pant went for a reverse sweep. He got a top edge, and the ball deflected off Dhruv Jurel’s helmet before the RR keeper completed the catch after juggling it three times.
