A professional cricket team representing Pakistan, the Peshawar Zalmi Team, plays their home games in Peshawar. Javed Afridi, the team’s chairman, created the organization in 2015. The PSL is a Twenty20 cricket competition run by the Pakistan Cricket Board, in which the team participates (PCB). The Peshawar Zalmi is a professional cricket team from the city of Peshawar in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. Founded in Lahore in 2016, the Pakistan Super Competition (PSL) is a franchise Twenty20 cricket league where the team competes. When the 2016 PSL season began, Peshawar Zalmi stepped into the spotlight with a roster full of international stars, including Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, and Kamran Akmal.
Under Darren Sammy’s direction, the club won the championship that year, and Sammy was voted Player of the Series for his outstanding batting. After playing for the West Indies in two World Cups, Darren Sammy, a famous cricketer, has announced his retirement from international competition. He joined the Peshawar Zalmi in 2016 and was named captain the following year; in 2017, his team won the PSL championship. In 2018, he left to play in a different league with the St. Lucia Stars. And Wahab Riaz, who has been with the Peshawar Zalmi since the beginning and thrived in both the role of captain and as a batsman, has been there from the front.

There is a strong fanbase for the Peshawar Zalmi cricket team, which competes in Pakistan’s top league, the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Peshawar Zalmi Achievements:
- They have one PSL championship under Darren Sammy‘s leadership, and three runner-up finishes. In addition, they have never lost in four consecutive PSL playoff games, setting a new record in the process.
- Six Twenty20 matches have been played between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings since 2019, and the former has won all of them.
- Kamran Akmal scored 1239 runs in 39 games between 2016 and 2020, making him the greatest run-scorer in terms of individual records.
- Wahab Riaz has taken the most wickets by a bowler over four years, 41, in 32 matches.
