Ambati Rayudu’s Controversial Message Amid Rising Tensions

His post came shortly after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was called off. While the BCCI said it was due to a technical issue, IPL Vice-President Rajeev Shukla and Chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed the match was stopped for security reasons.

Yes, the match has been called off as a precautionary step, because there are some incidents which happened in Jammu, I believe. That’s what we got to know, so we thought it’s wise to call off the game,” Dhumal said.

Ambati Rayudu wasn’t the only cricketer to share a message about the ongoing situation. Former India opener Virender Sehwag also posted on X and received praise from fans for his message. Known for his strong patriotism, Sehwag wrote:

“War has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet. They have escalated to save its terrorist assets, speaks so much about them. Our forces will reply in the most appropriate manner, a manner Pakistan will never forget.”

Meanwhile, the IPL governing council has called an emergency meeting to decide the future of the tournament. In another update, the BCCI has reportedly decided to evacuate players from Dharamsala using a special train.
