The inaugural Women's IPL will take place in March 2023, according to reports

The much-anticipated Women’s IPL will begin in March 2023, with a one-month timeframe and, most likely, five clubs, a top BCCI official announced on Friday.

The BCCI’s top brass have addressed the matter, and a March window has been identified for the competition following the Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.

“Yes, the WIPL will begin in the first week of March, with a four-week timeframe set aside for the first year. In separate interviews with PTI, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah both affirmed that WIPL will begin in 2023.

Many cricket fans hope that the WIPL will spark a revolution and significantly raise the level of women’s cricket in India.
